The Winter Festival is an electrifying annual event, celebrated every year in the last week of December in Mount Abu, Rajasthan. The festival is arranged by the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation and Municipal Board of Mount Abu. The festival, which goes for three days, celebrates the kindheartedness and joyfulness of the people of Mount Abu, who greet the tourist with utmost hospitality. The uniqueness of the festival is marked by its vibrant traditional procession, which sets off the Winter festival.
The procession, participated by the colourfully dressed citizens, begins from the RTDC Hotel Shikhar and ends at the Nakki Lake Chowk. The splendor of the festival is enhanced with the enthralling performances of the folk artistes of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab and Haryana. One can enjoy the glittering view of fireworks displayed on all three day of the festival. The festival offers the visitors an insight into the diversity and sumptuousness of Rajasthan’s tradition, art and culture.
