Director: Bettina Braun; Deutschland; 2004; 84min Film Four friends from Cologne Ali, Kais, Ertan and Alban, all between 16 and 20 come from different backgrounds but have one thing in common. Their parents migrated to Germany from foreign lands: Morocco, Tunisia, Albania and Turkey.
German is their lingua franca and the language in which their rap lyrics are written. Their world was full of disappointments and conflict, but it also yielded incredible successes. The film is a longitudinal study of these four lives.
